James and Alex have owned and occupied The Tides Lodge for 4 years. Our main focus has always been on the cuisine. We are to Tanzania what Rick Stein is to Great Britain!

We believe tourism helps give our community an incentive to maintain the environmental and cultural integrity of the area. You'll benefit knowing that your holiday helps our efforts to end harmful practices like illegal dynamite fishing by providing locals with other revenue sources. In addition, we arrange historical walking tours of the Pangani area, which provides you with a more comprehensive understanding of the area while contributing to efforts to preserve the rich culture of the area. In this way, we can provide you with a more rewarding holiday experience!
