Drive to Tanga which is well connected by tarmac roads. From Tanga head south on the Pangani road. This road is gravel and rough in spots. Capricorn is 30km south of Tanga, just north of Kigombe village.

Bus from Dar es Salaam
From Dar es Salaam or Mombasa: Scandinavian Express Bus service to Tanga is excellent. Some are air conditioned and show movies. Cost: $7 - $10US dependent on departure location and time.

Bus from Arusha
Kizota Bus line to Tanga is good and costs $7US. Scandinavian Bus service is scheduled to start a route soon. Buses also depart frequently from Tanga to Pangani. Cost: Approx. $1 US pp. Just ask to be let off at Capricorn. It is advisable to buy a ticket early to be assured a seat on the bus. Stops can be frequent and the trip can take 1 - 1 ½ hrs.

Taxi
From Tanga a taxi (recommended and fastest) can be arranged and costs $25 - $30US for the 30km / 45 min - 1hr. trip. Good idea to agree on the fare before departure.
